Premier Gladys Berejiklian announces some COVID-19 restrictions will be be lifted in NSW on Friday 18 May.
NSW will be implementing most of the federal government's first steps in easing COVID-19 restrictions including re-opening cafes and restaurants for up to 10 customers at a time and letting five people visit a household.
"We're at this point in the pandemic because everybody has pulled together and done the right thing. We have to keep our vigilance," Ms Berejiklian said in the press conference on Sunday.
Also from Friday, 10 guests are allowed at weddings, 20 people at indoor funerals, and 30 at outdoor funerals. Religious gatherings and places of worship can also have up to 10 people gather.
Ms Berejiklian urged everyone to behave responsibly when restrictions are lifted.
