No deaths from coronavirus have been recorded for the third time this week, however 11 new cases were reported today in Victoria.
With the state's death toll at 809, the Department of Health and Human Services reported Melbourne's two-week case average have dropped to 9.4.
Melbourne will need a 14-day five case average to ease further coronavirus restrictions by 19 October.
Deputy Chief Health Officer Allen Cheng said, "Every unknown source case represents at least one person who gave it to them, so we still are concerned about that.
"That's I think the figure that concerns me most at this stage."
Premier Daniel Andrews said it was "highly unlikely that nothing will change" on 19 October.
