12 McDonald's restaurants close in Victoria

12 McDonald's restaurants in Victoria have been shut for cleaning after being visited by a deliver driver infected with COVID-19.

The deliver driver was not showing symptoms or aware he had the virus at the time and was an extended family member of an employee at Fawkner McDonalds, where a cluster of 10-cases was identified on May 9.

McDonald's said in a statement no employee has tested positive in connection to the delivery driver and no customers are at risk.

The following McDonald's restaurants in Melbourne are closed for deep cleaning: Melton East, Laverton North, Yallambie, Taylors Lakes,  Campbellfield, Sunbury, Hoppers Crossing, Riverdale Village, Sandown, Calder Highway Northbound/Outbound, Calder Highway Southbound/Inbound and BP Rockbank Service Centre Outbound.
